Sunrise

The autumn came slowly to North Carolina this year. It was a cold, dark morning at the end of October, when I put my camera on tripod. My fingers were cold and numb. There was a crispy frost on the grass under my feet. The air was calm. With every minute it was getting brighter and brighter. The colors on the sky were changing from blue, purple, dark red to orange and yellow. The shadows on the grey, cold ground, woke from their sleep. They started to grow longer and longer in attempt to separate themselves from their night lovers and go their own way.  But they failed and remain connected; so at the end of the day they can unite again. The light was followed by the heat and culminated in yellow explosion of sunrise. A new day was born.
